Babymoon to Mexico!

We knew we wanted to take one more big vacation before baby came along. We might not get to take another one for awhile...so we started looking at places to go. My good friend, Veronica & her boyfriend Cody also had been wanting to vacation so we thought it would be fun to all go together! We left KCI in the middle of a snowstorm. Our plane was the only one going out of KCI it seemed and I was a nervous wreck after waiting several hours for them to de-ice the plane & get us ready to go. But, once we took off in about 45 minutes we were cruising with sunny weather! We had a wonderful time & really just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. We went to Now Vallarta which is part of the Secrets resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Here are just some of our adventures:

 Daniel played volleyball everyday!
We took nightly pictures before dinner.
Our friends, Veronica & Cody. Great travel buddies!
We got massages here several times during our stay. They were cheap & wonderful!

 The resort was stunning!
 My laying out buddy!

 Our first Hibachi experience.

We went into town one day. What a neat place.

 Daniels treasures he bought.
 Where we had lunch.

 Fresh coconut water.
 Last day on the beach.
Last dinner in Mexico. What a wonderful vacation.

22 Weeks

How far along? 22 weeks
Baby is the size of… Spaghetti Squash. Weighs 1 pound!
Maternity clothes? Yes! I hate wearing regular pants now…baby G is so low that it is very uncomfortable.

Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Getting better. My body pillow is my best friend & I think my husband is jealous of it. J
Best moment this week: I love when Daniel texts me names for the baby while I am at work. Makes my day.

Also, I resigned from my job this week---so I will be a stay at home mom next year. I think I am going to love being with baby G every day! Daniel said he knew me and knew there was no way I could leave the baby once he got here. So grateful for such a wonderful and hardworking husband.
Miss Anything?  I hate not being able to fit into all the cute new spring clothes coming out! Let me tell you---maternity clothes aren’t fun to shop for!!!
Movement: Baby G is pretty active. I love to lay in bed or on the couch and feel him. He is getting big!
Food cravings:  Not really. Still love me some cucumbers & anything with cheese.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No! Hallelujah!!!
Gender: BOY! I could just ‘feel’ it the whole time that Baby G was a boy! Daniel kept telling me quit ‘jinxing’ myself…but I can’t believe how sure I was. So strange!
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Does increasingly large belly count?!
Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I feel so much better now.
Looking forward to: Going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Sunday for our Spring Break/ Babymoon! I am beyond excited to lay by the ocean for a week and soak up the sun. Especially since we are getting snow still here in Missouri!

Gender Reveal Party

On Saturday, March 2 2013 we had our gender reveal party. After knowing for a WHOLE week before everyone else, it was about to kill me not being able to tell them! We had the party at Matt & Jackie's house & we started decorating early that afternoon. It had snowed several inches earlier in the week- so the boys took the kiddos out to play in the snow with the four-wheeler while we decorated. We sat around for quite a while being entertained by their crazy antics in the snow. Oh, what we have to look forward too with Daniel and this baby!

My sister, Shelby and aunt Nancy planned most of the party & the theme was moustache's and red lips! So, people were supposed to wear red (for girl) or blue (for boy) depending on what they thought the baby was. When everyone walked in, they also got some fun red lips or a black moustache to put on. Here are just a few of the guesses:

As you can tell, lots of people wanted a boy! But, my dad had 3 girls...so he wasn't putting his money on boy at all! Notice his nice pink Converse. :)

Once everyone got there, no one wanted to wait any longer to find out what baby G was! Shelby had several old 'wives tales' and she had me tell her which ones I had that favored girl & which ones favored boy...here is how the results turned out:

So, according to the 'wives tales' she had, it said girl. Now time for the big reveal...Daniel and I bought silly string and covered the containers so that you could not tell what color it was. Daniel & I and our parents each got a bottle and sprayed it in front of everyone. Whatever color came out of the silly string, was the sex of the baby. Are you ready?! Here we go....Baby G is a....

Can you tell?! The moral of this post is to NOT BUY CHEAP SILLY STRING! We sprayed it & I thought everyone would be really excited and shout the sex of the baby! But, we bought the silly string at the dollar store and it came out WHITE! You can tell on the last picture that my mom (on the far left) is not very happy because she thought we were trying to trick them! She was just ready to know what the baby was! Ha! You can see me (on the far right) trying not to pee my pants (which is a hard task now days) because I was laughing so hard that it didn't work out and everyone was mad & thought it was a joke. What you can't really see in the picture is that the silly string is a light, light BLUE! Baby G is a BOY! I finally had to tell everyone and show them the ultrasound to prove it.

We had a great night celebrating the baby! We can't wait for him to get here & cuddle and love this sweet baby. Now, we are trying to figure out a name. Such a hard decision. Big thanks to all the fabulous ladies that helped make this party so much fun---Nancy, Shelby, Mom (Cristie), Halie, Emily & Jackie. We love you all!
